Snow JAM, Courtesy of Trinity Financial

There's been some buzz about snow removal & Trinity Financial in City Council, on separate occasions. It seems we can bring the two issues together.

These pictures were taken on Jackson Street, during the release from the charter school.

Does Trinity pay rent for snow storage on Jackson St.?

Snow pile, from the other side.

Watch your step! Got skates?

The Iditarod? Looking towards Thorndike St.

While I was there, I saw a guy chillin' in the fresh air of early March. I was told he was effectively landlocked in the area of the 'Black Star' because the ice on the grounds made it difficult for him to navigate his mobility scooter straight out to Jackson Street (the Blue Line). If the dude was feeling adventerous, he had to scoot out along Canal and then over to Jackson (the Red Line).

For sure, Trinity has no business letting the property management folks store snow in a public 'Right of Way.' Ferchrissakes! It goes to about a foot and a half to the center line of the road.

As for the solid ice adorning the sidewalks? How many little kids and seniors are forced to scuffle their nervous feet along these pathways? How many opt to use, what remains of the street, for a makeshift sidewalk?

This needs to be corrected. And, NOT by solar removal, either.
